Cartwright, Guzman Pose for Selfie with Antisemites Who Called for Destruction of Israel
The University's President and DEI Coordinator smiled after speaking with students who repeatedly agitate for the murder of Jews
University of Central Florida’s President Dr. Alexander Cartwright and Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Dr. Andrea Guzman, have being photographed in a selfie smiling ear to ear with members of the Palestinian Student Association (PSA) just one day after they called our dead babies “AI generated” and for the destruction of Israel.
UCF Jewish Monitor has verified that one of our correspondents provided this information to Dr. Guzman yesterday at around 8 AM, and that she has been provided with updates regarding the group’s genocidal intentions ever since the start of the war. In other words, Dr. Guzman — the chief of UCF’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion program — was informed about PSA’s genocidal, antisemitic, and neo-Nazi rhetoric, and decided to take a selfie with them. It was unclear at publication time if Dr. Cartwright was informed of the same.
The image of UCF’s top officials posing with an organization which has a storied history of antisemitism and Jew hatred raises questions about the university’s stance on antisemitism and its commitment to protecting all students. This incident is particularly alarming given the university’s efforts to promote a safe and inclusive environment for every member of its community. It is worth noting that DEI institutions at universities have historically exhibited antisemitic behavior and do not tend to consider Jews as victims of marginalization. Dr. Guzman’s actions here continue this trend in force.
UCF’s administration must address this incident promptly and transparently to maintain trust and credibility within the university community, especially among those directly impacted by the actions of the PSA and the responses of university officials. It is not clear, given their historic inaction, that they will bother to do so.
