Genocidal Groups PSA and YDSA to Host Teach-In Tomorrow
Tomorrow, November 14th, 2023, at 7 PM, the Palestinian Student Association (PSA) and the Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA) will be conducting a teach-in event in Room 101 of the College of Science building at UCF. Both organizations, which have been previously identified as supporting genocidal ideologies, are hosting this event amidst rising concerns over their activities on campus.
This teach-in follows a similar event last week hosted by YDSA, where alarming incidents were reported. Attendees noted that Hamas was openly celebrated for its actions against Jews. Moreover, an individual who spoke out against these actions and noted that Hamas killed Holocaust survivors was reportedly expelled from the room, raising serious questions about the nature of discourse promoted by these organizations.
Given these reports and the history of these groups, Jewish students are advised to exercise heightened caution. The PSA and YDSA’s rhetoric and actions have previously been linked to dangerous ideologies and behaviors that directly threaten the safety and well-being of Jewish students on campus.
In light of these events, and considering past failures of campus authorities to adequately address such concerns, students are urged to prioritize their safety and well-being. Avoiding the vicinity of the College of Science building, particularly during the time of the teach-in, is highly recommended.
UCF’s administration must take these concerns seriously and ensure that all students, regardless of their background, can pursue their education in a safe and non-threatening environment. It is imperative that such events, which propagate harmful ideologies under the guise of education, are scrutinized and addressed appropriately.
