Seif Asi Pleads Not Guilty; Demands Jury Trial
The hate criminal is likely trying to outlast the State Attorney's Office's willingness to prosecute him.
The hate criminal Seif Asi filed a “not guilty” plea with the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida on Jan. 29th, according to recent court filings.
Despite three victims providing consistent testimony to the police, and Seif himself confessing to the crime to an officer, his attorney - Carlton “Duke” Fagan - appears to be pressing for a trial-by-jury, although the full court documents have not yet been released. He additionally filed a “Notice of Discovery” form with the court, indicating that Seif Asi’s defense will soon begin legal discovery (by requesting documents and depositions from entities related to the case, such as witnesses).
A “Waiver of Appearance” form was also filed, which may indicate that Seif Asi will not be required to make an initial appearance before the court.
Seif Asi was arrested on January 23rd for making death threats against a group of Jewish students at UCF. He told those students that he would shoot them, and later told a police officer that he is tired of seeing “Jewish supporters” on campus. He has been out on bond since January 24th, but barred from returning to campus.
