After the terrorist organization Hamas murdered 1,200 Jews in a single night - more in a single day than since the Holocaust - Jews rightly thought they would be defended around the world. They thought the obvious, unambiguous evil displayed by an organization which includes Jew-killing in its charter-manifesto would be roundly condemned around the world.
They were wrong.
Organizations big and small, those in Florida and elsewhere in the world, those previously committed to civil rights and those committed to white supremacy and antisemitism all joined together in a unanimous endorsement of Hamas’s actions, and proceeded to call for more of us to be killed.
Jews in America know now the ugly truth: antisemitism did not leave after the Holocaust. Education, dialogue, and other options work only to the extent that the other side is willing to listen. They never were. Our deaths are their only mission.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a Reform Jew who doesn’t wear a kippah or tzitzis. It doesn’t matter even if you (rightly!) declare your heartfelt sympathy for the Palestinian civilians in Gaza being used as human shields for their entire lives. It doesn’t even matter if you “side with” the pro-Hamas organizations on campus by condemning the Jews as having instigated their own murders. The cold, hard truth is that antisemitism has one goal, and only one goal: your death.
This site aims to document UCF’s antisemitism situation, which has bristled beneath the surface before the current war and exploded now that it is underway. We will provide as up-to-date information as possible, as quickly as possible, to properly document the antisemitism of UCF students, campus organizations, and - most appallingly - campus administrators.
